Audiobooks and listening data
Imported audio files, covers, chapters, categories, bookmarks, notes and listening progress are used to provide your audiobook library. This content is stored on your device unless you choose an optional synchronisation feature.
Optional cloud synchronisation
On Apple devices, Chapter can use its private iCloud container. On Android, it can use the private app-data area of your Google Drive. Chapter does not request access to unrelated files in your Drive. Google may provide your account email so the app can show which account is connected.
Optional transcription
If you request a transcript, Chapter uses the device and system speech-recognition services available for the selected language. Depending on the device, language and system settings, recognition may occur on the device or be processed by Apple or Google under their terms. Transcripts are kept with your private book data.
Purchases
Apple or Google processes payments. Chapter receives only the purchase status and transaction information needed to unlock or restore paid features, not your full payment-card details.
Sharing and tracking
Chapter does not sell personal data, show behavioural advertising or use your audiobook content for marketing. Cloud providers process optional sync data only to provide the service you selected.
Deletion and your choices
You can delete books, bookmarks, notes and transcripts in the app. You can disconnect cloud sync and manage stored app data through your Apple or Google account. Chapter does not require a separate Chapter account.
